We have various Broadband packages available, catering for businesses with varying speed and data usage requirements. The service available to a customer can be quickly identified by our account managers via a postcode search or more accurately if available, via an existing analogue telephone line number within the premises that the broadband is required. Customers have a choice between ADSL/ADSL2+ depending upon availability and capped or uncapped packages to suit a specific company’s usage and budget.
Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC)
FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) is the latest technology in hi-speed data services and makes use of fibre connections to the green/grey BT cabinets in the street, which act as mini exchanges. The connection between these cabinets and the customer premises is the same as per standard broadband i.e. copper, but as copper performs well over short distances there is now the potential to reach up to 76Mbps download speeds.
Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)
EFM is a fast, symmetrical, cost-effective service providing speeds of up to 35MB via multiple copper pairs to the nearest exchange. An EFM Circuit is fully managed by the provider and is cheaper and often faster to install than a Fibre Leased Line, as it uses existing copper pairs. For companies wanting a guaranteed service, unlimited usage, with super-fast speeds that are the same for upload as they are download, EFM is a cost-effective and viable solution.
